how much of twin towers ending of Men in Black 2 had been shot before Sept 11th?

    Please don't take this as a bad taste post, it's just curiosity about how much of the original ending of MIB 2 featuring the twin towers had actually been shot. The reason for asking is that some reports say that the movie was complete whilst others say that the movie wasn't complete, and it was possible to amend the shooting schedule to cope with the change.

    As I have understood, the towers were supposed to open up and spaceships were supposed to come out. Kind of what happened at the end of the first MIB, except it seems to make even less sense this time.

    I thought it sounded very cheesy at first. Of course I know that a movie like this is supposed to be a little cheesy, but I hope they came up with something better.
