I can't see there being that many. Being the war ended in 1918.
I believe the last remaining World War I fighter pilot died in the past year or so. But there are a handful of WWI veterans left, I think.
legally any WWI vet remaining would have to be like 104 years old.
Your point is correct Shane, but that was a different time as to how carefully ages were checked.
I am pretty sure that there were still a couple of WWI vets in Australia last year. And I remember the last ANZAC (I think) still alive a couple of years before that. As I recall there was a big deal as to his ability to still march in the annual parade.
