Stupid NBC didn't bother saying how many athletes from the US last night.. I had a bet with my father on that one.

And the NBC website has a list of names but they didn't bother to even tell you the totals so I can't find it... anybody know?

They provided the #. I don't remember exactly, but we had the largest delegation. It was something like 250 Russians and 270 Americans.

Just for info purposes I think Canada sent 105(+-2), and we didn't send any for a few disciplines.

They did say:

77 countries, about 2,500 athletes.

much smaller compared to the last summer olympics:

199 countries, just under 11,000 athletes.
