Having a Yam RXV1 that has sub outs for a main sub and 2 output for rear subs, I keep thinking of adding the rear subs to see how they'd sound.
Before I go to this expense, some of yall tell of your configs if you use rear subs.
Right now, I have a 20-39PC SVS doing the main sub work and I can't imagine rears making it any better. I would imagine the rears would have to be fairly strong to show up... What do yall think?

I run 2 SVS 20-39CS subs in the front left corner of my theater and I have a Paradigm Servo 15 for the rear theater duties.....
This setup has way more than enough bass [IMG]

3 in a 7000 cu.ft room. Altec Lansing THX powered, Citation 7.4 and an SVS 16-46. Both passive subs powered by 2 channels of an Anthem MCA-3. I also have an ART 351 EQ. This yields adequate bass in my large room(well maybe more than adequate).
I don't have any rear surround subwoofer. Steven, why are you using the Servo in the rear?

Last year someone bought 8 (eight) SVS subs. I don't remember the model... I think Frank Manrique (sp?) did that.

    Cliff,
You're right.... the manual doesn't state that the split sub pre-outs are for rear.... guess I just interpreted it that way since that's where I'd put them.

I have two 16-46cs subs front and left and one 18"THX velodyne sub in the rear kind of in the center between the rear speakers.
Steven, where in the back do you have your Servo 15?

I've got a pair of SVS 20-39PC's in the front left corner. More than enough in my apartment [IMG]
The only two reasons I can think of for needing more than one sub is
    1) If you have a really big room or want to go real loud, real low, cleanly.
    2) Seperate sub(s) used only for HT and another for music.
Basically, with the second sub, next to the first, I get another 6dB's of headroom before things start to get ugly (correct me if I'm wrong here).
    Steven Simon,
Do you run all three at the same time? Do you have cancelling issues? If so, how did you resolve them?
    Thanks
    Sean
