I know, I know, you guys are thinking what?? Really, a buddy of mine has 2 of these subs (good deal) stacked in a corner and the response is better than you'd probably think in a ~3500 cu/ft room. Just wondering for the fun of it is all. Sounds pretty good although I may be hearing boom since he has em up a bit from ref.

Well I think you may be able to achieve louder bass with a bunch of SAWM40's(as compared to 1 or 2 SVS), but even if you had 10 Sony's they wouldn't go as LOW as the SVS.

The Sony model you speak of is a great sub; I'm very happy with mine.

2 Sony subs might equal a 25-31 from about 35Hz and up. But there's also a big difference in sound quality.

The answer is zero because the Sony subs will never be able to put out the clean, low bass of the SVS. You could have 15 of the Sony subs but they will not go as low and as clean as the SVS does. The change from the Sony to the SVS will be as different as night is from day. SVS - Just do it. ;)
