    Hi,
I'm planning on buying either 2 or 4 Anthony Gallo Micro's to use in my HT setup. The problem is I don't really have a great spot for them. [IMG]
Gallo makes stands for the speakers that are 3 feet high. That would put them just at ear level.
Is that too low for side and/or rear surround direct radiating speakers?
    Thanks.

Everything that I've read on the subject (magazines, mfg. spec.'s, this web site, etc.) suggest placing surround (side & Rear)speakers above and slightly behind the listener for the best sound.

I have my surrounds at ear level on some cheap stands. Ideally, they should be higher, but in my aparment, there is no way to mount the (heavy) JBL S26s higher without doing some construction that my landlord would not appreciate. IMO, put them where you can and then calibrate with an SPL meter to ensure you are getting the proper sound level at your listening position. Dolby Labs may not think its ideal, and THX might not certify your home theater, but you should be happy.

I have my mains and rears on identical stands, all at ear level, and it sounds great.
