How long DVI cable? (1 Viewer)

How long can I go with DVI? I noticed that there are 30+ ft cables available (I think I even saw a 50ft) and wonder if anyone has used these lengths? Any feedback would be appreciated.

I'm using a 30'.

The issue is length & bandwidth (resolution + refresh rate) vs cable quality, especially at lengths over 15 feet or so.

The longer the cable, the higher the cable quality is necessary. Higher the resolution & refresh rate, same thing.
