Is there a limit to the length of component or composite leads

My Projector is going to be quite far away from the DVD player, what's my limit ?

    Thanks

Most cable manufacturers roll out 100 feet of coax, shove signals down them then brag about the results. Your composite & component cables are likely RG6 coax. Runs of 25-50 feet are typical to an over-head projector.

SVideo - bit different story. While RG6 is a 18 ga center conductor, SVideo is two 28 ga wires. It does not do as well as RG6.

For long runs of SVideo, look for "SVideo Break Out". This is an SVideo "Y" adaptor that ends in BNC connectors. You use 2 of these and run 2 runs of RG6 cable to your projector. So the bulk of the length are 2 separate RG6 cables.

    Hope this helps.
