How long are these two Star Wars releases including interviews etc LD?

I own these LD's but I can't find running time anywhere except by playing the whole movie.

    Star Wars THX Faces?
Star Wars: A New Hope (127 minutes)
    Empire
    Jedi

    SE box set versions 1997
    Star Wars
    Empire
    Jedi

You know, you're right - I never noticed this. It's not on the SE box, the insert or the discs. But you certainly don't have to play the discs through to the end to calculate times - just skip to the ends and add 'em up! Also, many machines will display time played, time remaining and total time if the disc was so encoded (mine will even show frames played on a CLV disc) and I'm pretty certain the Star Wars SE box was - don't own the "Faces" version.

Chris, would you happen to know if you can still buy Star Wars on LD. I don't have, nor ever had LD, but would consider getting one for Star Wars without all that SE stuff.
If so, I see ur in Ontario, could you point/direct to where [IMG]
doing a google search for "laserdisc toronto" not turning out to well :/

Your best chance is to buy them off of eBay. I got the Definitive Collection for under 100 last May.

Try a WTB ad here on HTF or try AVS:

    or try eBay [IMG]
    Alan,
That means I have to put in each and every side of each disc. Mind you its not too bad cause you just pause it and read the time, and then switch to remaining time and add them up. Its just a pain to insert each disc and flip sides. Thats lots of disc inserting and flipping! My player is a flipper 79 but I don't like making it flip just for that reason.

    Paul,
I got a Sony MDP 330 for $25 bucks, and the Definitive Collection for $77. I'm in the process of getting the THX "Faces" discs (got A New Hope sealed, don't want to open it [IMG]) The Def. Col. I wanted just to have, but I'll watch the faces (fewer flips, until I get a Pioneer 504 or 704 [IMG])
Star Wars in PCM sounds GREAT! Much better than my VHS copies.
BTW, I know we can't talk about bootlegs, but
are the bootleg OT DVD's flippers? Or can bootleggers make DVD 9's ?

I know they are copied from the LD's, so I like having the Masters [IMG]

Cool. Thanks. I wanted to compare lengths and now I can roughly. I'll sorta have to watch em all again anyways. Have to. Huh. I want to....I just mean, I'll have to remember to record the minutes before each side flip [IMG]
