Has anyone seen these? Was wondering how the transfers are. I think both are 16x9 enhanced.
In the Name of the Father is royally screwed up on DVD. I believe it had a DD 2.0 stereo track only.As I recall, there was also a DTS version released on DVD, but it's now out of print.
The DD 2.0 release has decent image and sound; the film is dialogue-driven, and the soundtrack was not an elaborate audio creation. If you watch movies for the story, characters and performances instead of dwelling on the technical specs, it's well worth getting, particularly at today's bargain price.
