I see the local B&M has this on sale for cheap...from the label it's pretty bare bones but is at least widescreen enhanced and has a 4.0 remixed soundtrack...and it's one of my favourite "80s excess" movies...

    How is the transfer quality?

Are there any forthcoming "special editions" with extras or anything on the way that I should be waiting for?

    i've always liked this movie.
the way andrew macarthy dressed inspired my own wardrobe...the way they partied inspired me and my friends...they way it ended straightened us out! [IMG]

The transfer is not the best I've seen, BUT I've seen much worse. If you like the movie, buy it as I don't think you will get a better version. I really enjoyed watching the movie on dvd and still love a lot of the songs on the soundtrack.

I have been waiting along time for this movie. For some reason though I thought it was going to be released at the end of March. I am going to Best Buy today!
