How in the world did we get two shows this season where people in their 30s have a freakish accident and get back to relive their lives in the 80s?

    ABC's That Was Then

What pisses me off is that for about the last five years I was writing a novel with a nearly identical plot. It isn't the first time this has happened. Either someone is stealing my thoughts, or my thoughts are just not all that original. [IMG]

I'll have to read Replay. I think it's a natural daydream for anyone with regrets, "If only I had said this! or "If I'd only done that!"

It looks like ABC has solved my dilemma of too-many-shows, not-enough-time-to-watch-them-all by cancelling (or threatening to cancel) That Was Then, Push, NV, and MDs. Three more hours in my viewing schedule.

I watched one episode of Do Over, and I think that will be enough for me.
I can't stand shows that are set in the 80's, that don't "look" like the 80's.
For instance, if a guy walked down the halls of my high school in the 80's, with a backpack on, he would likely get his ass whooped after school. [IMG]
Backpacks were NOT cool when I was in high school.
And what happened to feathered or "big" hair??
I really don't recall any girls having the straight hair that is in style today. But in Do Over land, 80's fashions don't seem to exist.
It looks like you're watching a current setting, but they're "telling you" it's the 80's.
To me, that is really bothersome.
    Am I nitpicking?

Hmmm... I'm torn on cancelling "MDs". On the one hand, I really like John Hannah and showrunner Rene Echevarria has been doing decent work ever since DS9. On the other hand, I like these guys enough that I want them in something better than "MDs".
