Ted's and Robin's conversations seemed to strongly suggest that the writers have decided to stop circling with Ted and will turn him into a better potential boyfriend or husband and move toward meeting the Mother. Good job.

One of the showrunners has said that this last go round with Victoria will be Ted's final major romance before he meets the Mother. The journey he takes with Victoria will leave him in the right place emotionally and intellectually to meet the Mother. So it sounds like whatever happens with Victoria won't be just another marking time romance for Ted.

I really enjoyed these pair of episodes. "The Door" story cracked me up. But I was bummed to see Ted drive off with Victoria, being that guy who would have a woman leave a man at the altar.

I didn't notice in that episode, but in the episode after Barney and Robin cheat, it seems like everyone is wearing purple except Robin, who is wearing a green dress.

It sounds like Craig Thomas really wants to end it this season, while Carter Bays would be content to let it go on indefinitely a la "The Simpsons".
