Tony,

I shut down all processes that were not absolutely necessary for the OS and then executed the program. It can make a BIG difference when you have just a couple of programs that are pulling system resources.

My P4 2.53ghz with 1Gig of ram ran at 78 Seconds and my 3.06ghz came in at 71.

I understand that, all of my processes were shut off too (XP Pro). However, compared to the other scores, including your faster systems, a 1.6 P4 turning in an 85 seems a little odd, especially for a laptop. It's strange that your 2.53 Ghz system with an extra 900+mhz, 533 bus vs. 400, faster and more memory, and a faster (desktop) motherboard only gains 7 seconds. I dunno, stranger things have happened.

Correction Tony I adjusted my laptop scores. I must have been smoking something pretty good since I think I forgot to enter a 1 before that 85. I ran the test 3 more times on my laptop and they came up 180, 179, & 185. My bad.... :b
