I am thinking of getting it and having just gotten Mozilla I was able to translate the amazon page and found this buyer review:

    Sounds rather drastic, yes?

I want this set and since it seems it is not coming to the US, I may be forced to get it butchered or not. How butchered is this set? Also if you have it, what is the quality of video and presentation and such.

OK,thanks for the info. That censorship is sad but there are more than 50 intact then? Better than nothing.

I forgot to ask about the fact that there are two versions. From what I gather one is 5 discs with a documentary and one is four discs without. Does anyone know if this documentary is in English? As I understasnd the set was a US Laserdisc originally so I think it is possible but if it is not I doubt it would be subtitled and my French is atrocious. Also is there significant bonus material on disc five?

From what I know, the bonus DVD has 2 docs:
one in FR, the other in ENG.
Don't know about ENG sub, but I doubt there are any.

As James Reader wrote, the French docu has English subtitles, and the subtitles on the English docu are not forced.
To see pics of how the set looks, see this part of my webspace.

Why isn't this set available in the States? Kind of weird.

I understand that these cartoons are being restored for release early next year in R1. Whether they remain censored is another matter. I suspect that they will still be cut, at least in some form.
