If I have a TV with a "Faroudja DCDi Line Doubler" and a DVD player with a "Precision Cinema Progressive de-interlacer with 3-2 pulldown processing" which chip will handle the load? I realize that they can be disabled and whatnot, so which SHOULD handle the load?

Generally, TVs with line doublers are "smart" enough to bypass the internal doubler when receiving a 480p signal. The general rule is that it's preferable to do the doubling in the player, because it occurs entirely in the digital domain without intermediate digital/analog conversions. But there's no substitute for trying both routes with your particular equipment and seeing which one you prefer.
