With the Minority Report film set in 2054, using your creative wit, humor, imagination, what preferably positive and optimistic visions / ideas of the future do you have of life on earth in 50-60 years from now, or how would you paint the future in that time.

Like what positive, humorous, ideal sports, types of politics, technology, types of films and other entertainments, career opportunities, lifestyle choices, not available now, would you like seeing then.

For example, having your own pre-cogs to tell you what dvd's to avoid buying, what films to avoid seeing, what sports match / lotto results will be.

I expect to see life in 2054 through about six feet of dirt, so the view is a little hazy. [IMG]

Not much different than it is today - if it's still around.

I think we'll see the 70th Bond film released in theaters it'll be called The World Wasn't Enough Then And It Still Isn't Today plus by this time California will be just a tiny strip of land about 100 miles west of the Arizona and Nevada coast
Finally 25% of the people from earth will now live on tthe moon

If I'm still around I'll be a decrepit 91 year old geezer still waiting for the classic 'Star Wars Saga' to turn up on MicroDVD (coin size discs, can be used as cash), not sure about flying cars though, people can barely drive on roads without crashing into each other.
Every toilet will have a tv screen (erm to watch, not to be watched), so its quite possible to actually be on the toilet for a couple of hours depending on what you're watching, and having a very cold sore ass afterwards. Oh yes, forget about toilet paper, you won't need no stinking toilet paper, toilet bowls will have built in wiper/washers with speed control, I foresee people spending many pleasant hours in the toilet.[IMG]

The only thing I'm sure of about the year 2054 is that I'll be 71 years old.

The baseball players union will be threatening its 24th walkout. Teams average 3000 fans in attendance.

Some kid will be able to eat 200.5 hot dogs and buns in 12 minutes (due to some additional gastro-intestinal modification, of course).

Tiger Woods is still tearing it up on the Senior tour with his 103rd major seniors win combined with his 78th major wins on the regular tour.

A fremen-like suit replaces the need for bathrooms for those on extended trips and don't feel comfortable in foreign lands.

People still enjoy Poptarts, but more flavors are introduced, and they are eaten at any meal of the day.

George Foreman even introduced a grill for anti-gravity conditions. No one really knows how the fat/juices flows away from the meats cooked in this contraption.

Your taste in everything (food, holo-vids, clothing style, etc) is pre-determined in your birth profile as dictated by the needs of public consumption of goods produced. You ARE what is in your profile.

There are still potholes in roads, but they get fixed quicker as the roads are self-healing.

It's virtually impossible to collide with another vehicle as auto-sensors adjust speeds and apply deceleration dampers automatically if another vehicle is within 10 meter, or senses high amount of velocity vectors directed at your vehicle.

GPS is now interactive in a larger sense, and no one ever feels lost anymore with the IGPS modules on them.

Reproduction is strictly controlled by your ability to provide for offspring. And you are required to undergo psychological evaluation and training for becoming parental units before being granted a reproductive license.

Everybody will be working at Wal-Mart.

Presidents will be appointed by The Walton Clan.

Furniture made out of real wood will be impossible to find, but Wal-Mart will have plenty of fiberboard bookshelves for you. and 4X3 TVs as well!

Houses will be big blue boxes, or squatters living in abandoned Wal-Marts.

Money will be changed from green to blue, and presidents will be replaced by a yellow smiley face. "In God We Trust" will be replaced with..."You know this is ours, so stop kidding yourself".

Sorry, I just got off of that other thread. :b

I think tourists in orbit would be a good bet. That is already starting to happen to a small degree. Many problems associated directly to population (i.e. hunger, disease, crime, pollution). I wonder if petroleum-based fuels will fall by the wayside by 2054?

I will be the ruler of the world. Do you all want to start bowing to me now or wait a bit?
