There's a switcher available from Radio Shack, which was discussed elsewhere on the forum (can't remember which area offhand, try a search). It's an A/V design - left/right audio and composite video, but apparently it is fine for up to 1080i component video transmission using the audio jacks as comp's. Might be cheaper than the JVC model.
I just installed an Audio Authority model 1154 component switcher on my system last week and it works great.
Besides switching the component video it also switches digital audio (coax and optical) and analog audio.

The unit sells for ~$190.
