I spilled some hot candle wax on my buddy's cotton shirt the other day, and it won't come out using our college- level knowledge of laundry care. any suggestions?

Well,a few options...One freeze it with an ice cube and peel it off,two place a damp towel on it and iron the towel.

We had success placing a paper grocery bag over a wax spot and ironing. The wax melted and bled out of the shirt and into the paper.
Be patient and don't put the iron on too high (a middle setting should work).
It's amazing the things that wives know ! [IMG]

    Boil some water.

Pour the boiling water over the spot on the shirt. Don't burn yourself. Repeat if necessary.

The water will melt the wax and rinse it away.

I've done this several times on carpet as well.
