How do I upgrade to a new harddrive without having to reinstall all my software? (1 Viewer)

Well I used this little program which allowed me to copy all the data from my source 20 gig drive to my new 80 gig drive. However it did not do this the way that i wanted it to be done. It created a partition on the drive with all of the same data as the old one INSIDE a partition the SAME size of the old drive.

I want to simply have the data within the full 80 gigs of space, not within a 20 gig partition on the 80 gig drive.

How do I go about doing a simple copy of the data from one drive to the other?

Use Drive Image Pro. I have version 4, I believe version 5 is out now. It's best if you have a CD burner. I burned an image of my 6 gig drive (on 4 discs using low compression) and it successfully copied it to my 40 gig drive. There is a "Resize" feature I had to use first other wise my 40 gig drive would be a 6 gig partition.
