    Hello to all,
I am headed to Kuwait in mid-January to work there for a year.
I already have another thread on this http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htforum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=113878.
I was wondering if anyone here knew if it is possible to hook up my U.S. Sony Playstation to a TV in Kuwait.
I know they have a different standard over there but I don't know the specifics.
    Thanks.

Jason - Kuwait uses the PAL standard. You have three options:

    1. Purchase a multi-standard TV. These are very common in PAL countries and will display both NTSC and PAL images. This, IMO, is your best option.

    2. Purchase a PAL set and an NTSC standards converter. This is probably your worst option and will likely be the most expensive.

    3. Bring an NTSC TV with you to play your Playstation on. This may be the cheapest option as you don't have to buy a PAL TV unless you want to watch Kuwaiti broadcast TV.

Note - I would imagine you'll be living in a "westerner" compound. Check to see if they have an NTSC cable system installed. I've see this in some countries. If that's the case, you don't need a new TV and can bring your with you for both gaming and tv watching.
