This might be a silly question, but how do I connect the LFE output on my receiver to the line inputs on my suwoofer? I just bought a Dalhquist QX125S sub and the owner's manual indicates that I need a Y-connector. It that really neessary or can I get away with connecting the cable I have to either the Left or Right line inputs? Can I buy a special subwoofer cable that already splits the signal into left and right connectors? My last subwoofer had only a single input and I guess I don't really see the point of having two. Aren't the low bass frequencies largely non-directional?

Single cable works just fine into the L or R input, you can buy a Y subwoofer cable at Radio Shack for $15 if you really wanted one, it'll just increase the signal to the sub a little more, requiring you to turn down the GAIN to maintain the same level as would be present with a single input cable.
