how do i clean a playstation (1 Viewer)

my playstation is having trouble reading discs and i think it may just be dirty if that is possible. is there something i can buy to clean the laser or whatever? like a vcr head cleaner type product? thanks.

What sort of Playstation is it? The early style had a problem where the laser would "drop" after awhile, causing problems reading the disc. Workarounds involved flipping the playstation upside down, on its side, etc... After awhile, I just gave up and bought a PS1.

Try any sort of normal cd cleaner programs if you suspect that is the problem.
