How can I tell what processor I have??? (1 Viewer)

I have a AMD 1.3ghz processor. How can I tell this by just looking at the CPU??

Generation should be fairly easy as long as you have a comparison chart sitting next to you. Clock speed however can probably only be found after hooking it up to a motherboard and booting up. :frowning:

Look on the core of the CPU (the raised rectangular portion in the center of the CPU). The second line of screened writing on it should begin with two or three letters followed by the processor speed. e.g... AO950AMT3B is an Athlon 950MHz.
