I was watching the Oscars and noticed that I have a 2.5 inch scratch in my glass coffee table. Is there some sort of homemade/packaged polish out there that can help remove it? Thanks everyone.

While I don't have any personal experience with this type of repair, you might try a wax like Turtle Wax or a windshield repair kit from an automotive supplier.

A good coat of Pledge will minimize it.

Try rubbing toothpaste on it with a piece of cloth. People use it to remove scratches from thin glasses such as wrist watch covers. Tertar control pasted supposedly work well.

Hmmm. Well, toothpaste didn't work. Maybe I'll try one of these kits next.

Well my grandmother got me to fix a scratch in a glass table by using cigarette ash on a damp cloth. Took a while but it did work.
