I bought a car in houston, but flying into HOU is $$
I can fly into dallas for $130! but getting from DAL to HOU is proving difficult, and expensive. Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

have the seller meet you somewhere (ie if you take the bus have them pick you up at the station)

You could fly Continental from DFW to Houston for about $100.

I checked into that. I think it'll be cheaper to just ship the darn thing. 250 in airfare, 3 days off work, 1400 miles at 20mpg (maybe 24) and probably 3 hotels plus food, the 600 bucks to ship it is sounding darn cheap

Why not get a one way car rental from Dallas to Houston? It's only about a 4 hour drive straight down I-45. I've made that trip many times (starting from Houston).

I checked that also, it's cheap with someone like alamo, but the one way drop off fees vary from about $60 to $100+
