I spent the last 10 days landscaping the lower tier of our 4' x 40' railroad tie planter. All plants are on a drip system and the bubbling rock fountain is controlled by Siri. This project was a welcome month health diversion during this time of Covid-19.

I'm grilling some chicken tonight. I plan to enjoy a few martinis on the patio while the chicken is cooking. :)

Screw anyone who gets after me for wearing a mask. That happened to me recently, and I told the couple to #%$% themselves & then gave them the finger. I wanted to start something with them, but they just walked away muttering - ha ha.

There are stores in my area that explicitly have signs in the front that state, "No mask, no service". So, obviously it's a requirement in many places.
There is a gas station where I live with a sign that reads, “No shoes, no shirt, no pants, no service!“

Can they really have so many people trying to enter the store without wearing pants that they feel compelled to point it out on a sign?

Sounds like an owner with a sense of humor. Nothing wrong with that.

One of my favorite signs is from a winery we go to in South Carolina that reads "Unattended Children Will Be Given a Red Bull and a Puppy".

They're trying to keep this guy out.

Do they allow women wearing a skirt? Or, for that matter, a man wearing a kilt? :D

But seriously, I imagine it's an attempt at humor. Like the gas station/sub shop places that have signs saying "Eat here and get gas."

(Several years back, while driving through New York on our way back from the Midwest, my wife and I stopped at a gas station/convenience store that called itself "Pump'n'munch". Ever since then, we've used that as a term for any similar establishment.)

The OS "infrastructure" for "exposure notifications" is launched. Now we wait for developers to create apps that use the system.

I shopped this morning and found out my local Meijer's has expanded its hours from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. with special shopping hour for responders, seniors and people with medical conditions at 7:00 a.m. on specific days from Mon-Thurs. The new expanded hours are now 6:00 a.m. to Midnight every day.

Another surprise was the amount of toilet paper, paper towels, flushable wipes and even disinfecting wipes. They're not to the pre-pandemic levels inventory-wise and there are still quantity limits, but it's a major improvement over March and April in-store inventories.

While, like most of America and the world, I'm still adapting to the current state of things, I will say that when I was able to find a reliable supply of TP and hand sanitizer, my mood and ability to handle the pandemic improved tremendously. If we ever get PPE and sanitizing wipes to the same level...

Man, who woulda thought just a few short months ago we'd all be excited by things like this? Still sometimes feels like a bad dream.
We get very excited when we get to go out at all now. I almost couldn’t sleep the other night because we were going to the grocery store and Costco for prescriptions the next day.

I have been retired for 11 years and this is the first time I have been bored. We were never very social, so that doesn’t bother me, but besides hanging around the house and doing chores all the time, we loved movies, the theatre, restaurants, trips to the USA and the Casino (Buffett!)— all gone.

Half our day seems to consists of meal planning, preparation, and clean up.
