I am impressed with Axiom speakers, but i didn't have a chance to do a lot of sub comparing. Now i am almost 100% certain that i will buy an Axiom set of speakers in the near future. If i buy a whole set (including a sub) i might get a better deal, so i am wondering about the quality of their subs.

What are your thoughts about them? Are they worth it?
Many people have recommended SVS subs as an alternative, but the final price will be over $1000 can and i can get an Axiom sub for much less. Any thoughts?

All of Axiom's subs are over priced for what you get.

And tuned too high as well. IIRC, they can't be tuned lower than 35-40Hz. That would be fine in a small Bose style system, but not for any serious HT listening. Go with an Adire Audio Rava or one of the cheaper SVS subs before you consider Axiom subs.
Dammit, Dustin! You beat me this time! [IMG]

No, I've still got a job for now (BellSouth talking big layoffs but are starting to backtrack)! A lot of my work requires running a program in the background and waiting for it to spit out results. Plus, it's Friday and everyone else has left for the weekend.

    Did you get laid off?

    Dustin,

So you're just out of college huh? What's your degree in? You must be around 22 right? Or did you take 7 years to get a freakin' bachelor's degree like me?

No, I took 6 to get two degrees. Although my stupid college won't allow me to get two BSc degrees. I can get a BSc and an Advanced Certificate though. Never mind I could flip which subject gets which degree (ie they are the same damn thing, but no one knows what an Advanced Certificate is).

Anyways, I have a 4 year BSc in Computer Science and an Advance Certificate in Biology (focus was genetic and molecular stuff, tis fun splicing DNA). I just hope the pundants are right and bioinformatics is the next big thing, just hope I can get my foot in the door at one of the places soon.

So like my profile says, I'm 24.

PS- Sorry we hajacked your thread Yuli.
