Having just read the proposed Paul Newman WB box set thread, I immediately thought of another Warner star of the 50s & 60s who is still warmly remembered today- Natalie Wood.

Among the titles to consider for a possible WB box set:

Splendor In The Grass (as a remastered SE)
    Gypsy
    Inside Daisy Clover
    The Great Race
    Sex and the Single Girl
All The Fine Young Cannibals- (her only feature film with Robert Wagner)
    Cash McCall
    Penelope

I left out Rebel Without A Cause as it's in the upcoming James Dean set, and The Searchers, since it's really a John Wayne film and may go into either a John Wayne or John Ford box set.

Splendor, Gypsy, and The Great Race are already out on DVD. Only a few more of the above titles from the Warner library are needed to create a box set, and since it is Natalie Wood, I know that it would sell!

No West Side Story? Or is that not a WB property?

I know it's not a favorite of a lot of Wood fans, but I've always liked her in it.

West Side Story was an United Artists release and is owned by Sony/MGM/UA.

Oh I see, thanks. Well I think I would buy the collection described in the first post and be pretty happy with it, for what it's worth. Especially since there are a couple of titles in there that I haven't actually seen.

I want more than that. The Natalie Wood/Walter Brennan Collection for one:

    Driftwood (1947) VHS only
    The Green Promise(1949) VHS only
Scudda Hoo! Scudda Hay! (1948) Marilyn Monroe's debut...not available at all.

I'm glad I still have my LD of Inside Daisy Clover.

All the Fine Young Cannibals. I can pass up Inside Daisy Clover quite easily though.

shame someone didn't ask about Warners Natalie Wood films during the chat.

i would definitely go for a boxed set of her material (even though the one film i want the most- Love With The Proper Stranger is languishing in Paramounts vaults)

someday Warner will no doubt do this very thing, but it would be nice if it were this year (although its already crowded with box sets coming out every week it seems)

I'd be first in line for Inside Daisy Clover. I've always been fascinated by it, ever since I was very young and used to catch it on a local UHF station.

I'd also be first in line for INSIDE DAISY CLOVER.(one of my most wanted!)
If there was a box set of Natalie Wood Films...including "Clover", "Sex and the Single Girl" and "Cash McCall", I'd buy 10 of them!!!!!!
Paramount if you're reading... please release..LOVE WITH THE PROPER STRANGER on DVD!

I subscribe PENELOPE and SEX AND THE SINGLE GIRL. They're both very good, and the last one is one of my foundest memories of watching a film on TV when I was younger.

I would like to see all Natalie's movies on DVD - but please! Where is "Love With the Proper Stranger"? This was a great movie, and Natalie Wood was nominated for an oscar for her role. I don't understand why this is taking so long.

It would be great if some of her television work like "The Cracker Factory" could be transfered too.

Here's an extra I'd like to see. A montage of Natalie blowing bubble gum. Go ahead, laugh....it was one of her talents and got on film again and again throughout her career.
Maybe the right someone will read this and I'll get to see Natalie popping gum and ageing.

Recently caught All the Fine Young Cannibals and Penelope on TCM. Nice letterboxed presentations. Perhaps a Natalie Wood box set is more of a possibility we might think.

In any event, I'm still itching for Inside Daisy Clover.

TCM ran a six film Natalie Wood marathon on July 20th (Natalie's birthday).

I would love a Natalie Wood boxed set, but I'm still waiting for "Love With The Proper Stranger" and "Inside Daisy Clover". Where are these DVDs?
