Gruv put up both Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 for pre-order now as well, separately. However, there does not seem to be an option for a two-pack. Given the extremely close proximity of the two release dates, it would have made sense to offer both in a single combined purchase for perhaps slightly less than the cost of the separate releases.

Would anyone who wants to buy the first one not buy the second?

Gruv has updated their 4K/UHD listing with a September 10th release date. Amazon and the other retailers will follow soon with the same release date.

It is worth noting that Gruv will ship out their early. I've done four preorders with them them since March, and all of them arrived well ahead of the official street date.

Theatrical release of Part 2 has been delayed.

"Said a New Line rep in statement, “Territory Pictures and New Line Cinema have decided not to release Horizon: Chapter 2” on August 16 in order to give audiences a greater opportunity to discover the first installment of Horizon over the coming weeks, including on PVOD and MAX. We thank our exhibition partners for their continued support as moviegoers across the US discover the film in its theatrical run.”"

The motion picture industry is not about creating and distributing motion pictures.

It’s about creating and distributing profits for stockholders and huge paydays for upper management.
You're not talking to some group of rookies here. We know what time it is, but it still stinks for those of us that want to see this western saga in its complete state.

The good thing is that it seems unlikely that Costner gave Warners the ability to throw the movie in the trash since they're just the distributor.

I think we all know that but to hear YOU suggest that is very sad, surprising and disheartening. 😞

I’ll be purchased both the digital version coming out Tuesday and the physical disc in September. I like to support both.

That generalization is a pretty cynical observation even if it is partially true.
