I was just wondering if it matters what kind of interconnect you use to connect the AC-3 output from the LaserDisc player to the demodulator.

    Any thoughts?

Most of the outputs from the LD to the demodulator I have seen are coax. Some demodulators also act as a digital switcher so that you can run the non-AC-3 digital out from the LD player (which may be coax or optical) and then run the output of the digital outs from the LD player to your receiver or preamp digital input. I prefer coax for this and where possible since a good quality RCA makes a good electrical connection and also tends to have less jitter problems and will be more durable over time.
