I bought a Panasonic RV-32 for my 27" bedroom TV. Since I am using my TV's speakers, I want PCM downcoversion, right? And I want bitstream turned off? Thanks.

You want to use the standard composite cables. The red Right audio channel, white Left audio channel, and yellow for video. Radio Shack should have the wire you're looking for.

But, in the audio menu option of the player, I need to set the areas I mentioned. What do I set to?

    Doesn't matter.

The PCM downconversion vs. bitstream setting ONLY affects what comes out of the digital output on the player. If you set to PCM downconversion, then the optical/coax connection will get a downconvered 2 channel signal.

The analog outputs on the player will supply a 2 channel downconversio no matter what you choose in that menu (as that is all they can supply).

Again- that setting only affects the digital outputs and will have no baring on your connection via analog outputs to your TV.

    Hope that helps.
