I have a small room in which I intend to install a Homecinema projector. Actually the distance between the projector and the screen will be 12 ft., and the sitting distance from the screen will be slightly shorter. I am worried about the possibility of having a "too large" picture with most of the available DLP projectors, and I find that the "Screen size Calculators" in various web-sites are not so accurate and consistent.
Any ideas which projector may be suitable?

It depends if you want a 480p or 720p projector. With a 720p projector you can have a larger screen and sit closer(1.5X screen width). With a 480p projector, you need to sit back about 2X screen width. You should get a short throw projector. Tell us your budget just for projector and your viewing uses.
