Home Theatre Subwoofer : is 105 dB anemic? (1 Viewer)

I'm in an apt. so reference levels are not what I'm shooting for. However it is a home theater, and I would like to have the feeling of really low bass, in the few moments it's there. Small size living room. Trying for low distorsion, lowish group delay, very low budget.

Will the 18-25 hz not even be heard, much less impressive? I keep hearing how it's not worth tuning that low for such meager SPL.

WinISD plot is a guess, not a reality. You might want to do a search for 'room gain' and see what happens when a sub is put in a real room
