I have installed a Samsung 26" LCD TV in my motorhome. The audio output from the TV via the RCA connectors is not controlled by the TV volume level and the installed (in an outside bin) DHS 5.1 amp has no volume control. I could install a manual volume control but would rather have something with a remote control. I have seen combo DVD/Home Theatre units but I cannot find one that has an audio output other than speakers. I already have speakers installed in the coach and replacement/rewiring is a huge pain.

Any ideas/suggestions would certainly be appreciated.

Okay, I'm lost. Are you saying the current amplifier isn't located near the TV, so just replacing it with a HT combo would leave you with no way to remote-control it?

The factory installed amp is in an outside bin. It has no volume control as the installation is designed for volume control via the audio source. (i.e. TV, radio)

All the HT/DVD units I have found have no audio out RCA jacks. I am looking for some way to control the TV volume via remote instead of having to install a rheostat type device.

Yeah, I doubt you're going to find a combo unit with RCA outputs. If this is a true 5.1 system, you'll need a home theater receiver with RCA output jacks for all channels, plus a separate DVD player.
