Hi everyone
I recently moved into a house with a pre-wired home theater, and I am trying to make sense of the wiring. From pictures provided by realtor, prior owner had a projector, but now I just have a bunch of wires sticking out of the wall. The room has 5 speakers built into the ceiling and also has Verizon fios throughout the house. I have yet to climb into the attic to look around.
Please see pictures below
The blue wires are the speakers
To the right of the speaker wires are 3 wires, one thick black one and two white ones. One of the white ones is labeled "volume" . The black one has a central copper wiring surrounded by white insulation.
The outlet in the middle is the cable jack and verizon data port
To the left of the cable jack is one white wire composed of several smaller wires
There are no wires coming out of the walls or at projector area on the ceiling
Thank you for your help

It sounds like the black/white are for 2nd zone. Are there speakers in another part of the house?
The only way "volume" matters is if there was/is a secondary amp/matrix somewhere.
