If you didn’t like WW S2 because it was too obtuse, you might like S3 as it’s much more linear. It very twist/turny along the way, but the ending collapses to a very simple through line.

I really liked S2 in the end, despite being so very lost much of the way through. I didn’t really care for S3’s story, feeling it sacrificed essential WW themes and arcs. Both others think S3 was great. So, YMMV but I can imagine Brian might really like S3 over all.
