Is their turntables on the market that would sound good with my sound system. I have a old one and I want to up grade.
How's the stylus? I've got some very old albums that sound fantastic. I think you may have a needle problem - needles are usually easy to find and replace. Check www.neeledoctor.com and www.lpgear.com among others.Originally Posted by SAMSUNG65
My table is a technics it about 26 years old. My preamp is toc-750. When I play a album the sound is scratchy high tinty noise. I am begining to think that I should replace my albums. They are 25 years plus.
What model specifically? There are many Technics tables, from entry-level belt drives costing $150 (today's dollars) to $500 direct-drive models still sold now some music labels use these days to archive their own vinyl to digital form when they can't find the master tapes.Originally Posted by SAMSUNG65

Your link "this turntable" doesn't take you to a turntable. It brings you back to this thread.......Originally Posted by LanceJ /forum/thread/291754/home-theater-system-turntable#post_3600167
