Hey,

I am moving to a new house, and plan to have a nice system.

I have read a post before and were given this suggestion by my friend.

Polk Audio RTi-70 for front
Polk Audio RTi-38 for rear
Polk Audio CSi-40 for center

is that a good setup? or are there better setups for the same price.

Also, are there any good speakers i can mount on the ceiling as rear spakers?

The Rti speakers are a great value, you won't be disappointed! You might want to consider the Fxi50 for surround duties though. Bipole/Dipole speakers are going to provide better dispersion, less localization of the sound from the speakers. As for rear speakers, get the 38's and use Omnimounts to suspend them from the ceiling. Have you considered which sub to use?

Rob,
Sub, like any speaker, can be a difficult to select. You'll see all kinds of suggestions here, and on other forums for which is the best. I had a Polk PSW350 with my previous setup (Polk Rt800i) and worked just fine. Currently I'm using a Sunfire MkII and have been amazed at the amout of bass it cranks out. You might want to look at the Polk PSW404 or 505, both will do a great job. Keep your eyes open when visiting your Polk dealer, they will offer a free sub with a minimum purchase at various times throughout the year. Crutchfield does the same thing.
