    Hey all..

I'm currently using a all-in-one home theater system, Philips MX3550 to be exact. I'm currently looking into buying the following reciever:

My question is will everything work alright? I'm not looking to purchase new speakers or anything.. Main reason for the reciever is game consoles (optical in).

“If it works” depends largely on the capabilities or limitations of your Philips set up.

If you have a separate DVD player, you won’t have any problems. Naturally, you can connect the speakers to you new Panasonic receiver. However, if the Philips has a built-in DVD player (I couldn’t find the MX3550 on Philip’s web site), then you may have a problem. Most all-in-one HTIB’s don’t have the digital and video outputs you’ll need.
