Well, after over two years on HTF, I finally got around to putting up a very basic webpage to display my home theater pictures (click the link in my signature).
For those looking at custom rack systems and enclosures, I can't say enough about Middle Atlantic Products. They are very well made and practically bomb-proof. They have the exact measurements for over 6,000 stereo components in their database, so you can easily find perfectly fitting faceplates for your gear. For a long time I had admired the look of built-in racks, and figured it was something I would like to do eventually. With some lucky finds on eBay, as well as some helpful hints from people on this forum, I realized I could do most of it myself without needing to hire a custom installer. When I build my dream house someday, I have no doubt I will use Middle Atlantic rack products again. There is simply no competition.
The thing that appeals to me (and my wife) most is that all cables are hidden and that the rack is flush with the wall so we don't lose any space in the room. It was fortunate that we had a spare closet adjoining the family room, large enough to house a 44-rackspace MA rack. Even with that many rackspaces, however, I ran out of room and had to put my second 300-CD jukebox in the basement. It worked out fine since I can still control it with my Lexicon remote and Sony's MegaControl link.
If anyone is interested in putting together a rack system, I would be happy to help answer questions. Thanks again to all who helped me along the way, directly and indirectly. This forum is the best!

Cool setup indeed! I too agree that putting your RPTV into the wall next to your rack would nice too.
Thanks for sharing your pictures. If you want to have a link back to it from the members theater page just send me the link to your web page.

    SWEET!
That is one clean installation! Very professional looking.
Have you considered moving the center speaker up above the TV?

Very nice looking. That rack really simplifies everything. No messy wires, no loss of room space. Nice. [IMG]
