I am wondering what the best way to hook up my system would be. I have a LG 42" 1080P LCD with HDMI inputs and outputs. A comcast hd dvr cable box with HDMI output. A PS3 with HDMI. A Wii with component cables. An old vcr and a Yamaha RX-V661 a/v reciever. I was thinking of running everything to my reciever then HDMI to my LCD. Is this correct? Will I get sync delay when I play games like Rock Band? Any insight will be greatly appreciated. I'm sure I will have more questions once I start looking for new speakers.

Yes, run everything through your receiver -assuming- that the receiver performs video format conversion (i.e. the VCR composite video gets converted to HDMI, etc.). If this is not the case then you can still run everything through the receiver but you'll need to run more cables between your TV and receiver (1 set for each type of input). You will get a different sync delay with the receiver in your audio and video chain. However, Rock Band has a manual sync config that will correct this issue.

The 663 converts composite video to HDMI (page 19 in manual).
