I had asked a question last year sometime about what mini system you guys would recommend for a bedroom or a kitchen... just a compact system, that looks pretty and gives good sound. I had suggested Bose, since that is what some of the local chains push quite a bit, but that was met with a lot of resistance over here, as being sub-standard. So I did some searching around here and found that Denon was a name that came up a bit, for a good mini system.

I found the Denon D-107 ( http://www.denon.ca/html/product_display.asp?id=26 ) system to be quite visually appealing and I do want one that looks like that in the bedroom... but I am still open to what to get in the Kitchen. I was thinking of getting something like the Linksys wireless mini system so that I can select and play from my large list of MP3s on my computer upstairs ( http://www.linksys.com/products/prod...id=38&prid=631 ) - now I do not know what the sound quality is like on that. Any thoughts?

So looking at the Denon and the Linksys for the bedroom and kitchen, I thought was a good idea. I might also be open to the idea of swapping the kitchen system with the bedroom system if necessary.

But this year, looking at the BOSE site, there are some nice new mini/compact systems... any thoughts on these or should I stick to the Denon?

Any help or suggestions on other mini/compact systems to consider would be appreciated.

    Thank you. [IMG]

The advice you got last year on the Bose system stll holds true today! Over priced flashy looking stuff, but not as well made as the others you mentioned.
    Get the Denon.
