Home Depot Speaker Wire (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Thanks for the answers in my previous thread, I went to home depot and the speaker wire they had one side looked to be copper the other aluminum?? One of the workers say they colored it to make it easier to separate and plug in, I think only half is copper?? Any responses. Thought I would save some money this time instead of using that expensive monster stuff

I use Home Depot 12g speaker wire exclusively. The wire I bought was pre-color coding (both wire strands are identical in the stuff I have, the jacket has printing along one side to denote neg/pos). I'm not sure how they achieve the silver/copper coloring in the newer wire.

The silver color is tinned copper.
