Is/was anyone else looking forward to Home Alone: SE? If memory serves, this was originally supposed to be released for Christmas 2002. It was then expected to be released for X-mas 2003, but was again delayed, this time due to the DVD debut of the dreadful made for TV movie Home Alone: Taking Back the House. I believe Peter Staddon said to expect it for the 2004 holiday season...but I haven't heard anything yet. :frowning: Looks like it might have been delayed again...

My VHS copies of the first two Home Alone movies are getting tired, and I'll be upgrading them to DVD soon. If there's no new info about an SE of the original, I guess I'll be buying the bare bones versions this December.

Fox really needs to release Special Editions for these films. These are my two favorite Christmas movies of all time, and I think the second was even better than the first which is very rare for a sequal. Sadly, I haven't heard anything about a SE 2004 release.

Yes, it had been talked about somewhere (could have been Peter) as coming this December, but it doesn't appear that it's going to happen after all. :frowning:

I have asked Peter about this title at every forum discussion that he has participated in since the first one way back in 2000. What John said pretty much sums it up. Maybe someday we will get a better quality release.
