They're using this to replace the Intrepid instead of going for a niche market.

Geez, it sure doesn't look like a "Charger". But it does make my 2001 Camry look sporty. :D

I don't understand why American car makers insist on making narrow, boxy looking cars. I wish they would take a cue from the Europeans(at least the exotic car makers) and make their cars a bit wider. I bet if that new Charger were a foot or so wider it would look meaner and slightly better. I stretched the pics a tad:

Granted it wouldn't improve the boring 'Enterprise rent a car' design by much, but it wouldn't look as dumpy as it currently does either.
Let the car breath a little, widen that sucker out I say.

It is fugly IMO which is disappointing given the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Magnum which look great (again JMO). What they need to do is drop a Viper V-10 (or better yet the Merc V-12 twin turbo) into the 300...

That first concept image is much better than this one. Who cares if it is a niche market. The mustang seems to be pretty popular, and i don't see dodge trying to compete with that (the viper doesn't count if no one can afford it).

The width of the production Charger is greater than a Corvette's (74.5" vs 72.6"); I can't imagine adding another foot. What it really needs:
a) a lower profile (a height of 58.2" puts it just 0.2" lower than a Chrysler 300  )
b) reduce the curb weight (it's portly at 4031 lbs. )
c) reduce the wheelbase (same as the Chrysler 300 at 120" )
d) should be a coupe (four doors say "I'm practical and family friendly" )
e) a revised front fascia (has a truck-like front end presently  )
f) manual transmission (only available in automatic at this time  )

Are they planning on bringing back the Plymouth Duster?? I remember back in the 80's they had a turbo Duster. I had a green '75 as my first car. :D

Apparently! ;)
It ain't easy my eyes that's for sure. The orange job looks like a Halloween pumpkin. Hey maybe...

that's pretty sweet. I also like the new mustang.

Went to the LA autoshow and saw the new ford gt - that was one nice car.
