Both of the HV's I go to have no intention of ending the sale anytime soon.

BTW, I've been informed that both Bubba Ho-Tep and The Triplets of Belleville will be hitting the used racks tomorrow (I'll add it to the master list during the next update).

Now the word is, it will go for three (3) more weeks.

Apparently, they are still heavy on product...

Got 'T3', 'View from the Top', and 'The Missing' this week.

Watched VftT, it was fairly good (***).

'Monster' and 'RotK' should be on-sale today.

View From The Top was a lot better than I expected it to be. The Missing was decent, and more like a straight Western than I expected. I liked T3, especially the ending. Dig those PETs!

Yesterday I picked up Bubba-Ho-Tep, Big Fish, and School of Rock, but they told me that Triplets of Belleville is still too new to hit the PV rack.

At my Hollywood Video today, I took a long time looking around but could only find two titles I was really interested in. As I was walking out a clerk said, "Came up empty?" After I explained, he took me over to a rack of stuff they were just getting ready to put out. It included ROTK, Monster and Triplets of Belleville.

I opted, though, for Lion King 1 1/2 and went back and picked up the original 2-disc Frida and In America. For $8.33 apiece, a great deal!

The kids who work at my HWV are sometimes not the brightest bulbs in the marquee.

They are very helpful, though. They dug through many boxes to find me a copy of Bubba-Ho-Tep. I figure if they'd had any copies of TOB to put out, it would have come up in the computer when I asked.

Picked up The Triplets of Belleville along with Step Into Liquid and American Splendor yesterday at my local HWV, but no Bubba Ho-Tep to be seen.

So, I figure, It's either regional or based on inventory on a store-by-store basis as to what's available.

My local store seems to be getting a lot of their PV product from corporate distribution. (It works that way at EB, too.)

Stopped by HV to pickup 'Along Came Polly', 'House of Sand and Fog', and 'Auto Focus'.

Word is, the sale will continue thru next week at least.

Hope 'Paycheck' is available next week.

When the sale is over, think I'll take a break and let the releases accumulate till the next inventory bulge/sale.

Wonder if anyone in the 'industry' is taking note of the duration of this sale.

Getting near-new releases for $8 could have a crushing effect on Day One sales if people start waiting to purchase (I was doing this even at $10).

Also noticed that studios like MGM and Paramount are dumping fairly new titles at Wal-Mart and elsewhere for $8.88 (The Core, The Hunted) or $9.99 (Out of Time).
