According to Mark Cuban, he is buying and converting HH episodes to HD for broadcast in HDNet.
"we are looking at converting 35mm hogans heroes and mission impossible to HD and running it on HDNet and future networks we add
Before we made the big financial committment, and believe me , to go back and get all the elements and remaster and then convert is not cheap. We want to run an episode of each and let our viewers tell us what they think ...
SO, we will be running a Hogans and MI episode all week long during the week of July 8th to the 14th...
if you have hdnet, watch it, tell us what you think, good bad or indifferent
and if you dont have it, get over to a friends, go to the local CE or sports bar and check it out and tell us
    thanks
    m"
Apparently there is still a big market for HH regardless of what some might think of it. And for you real fans...

Well, I hope they're in the right aspect ratio.

The looked great, even cropped. I applaud HDNet for more great programming, I watch that station 2nd now (HBO is still first, HDNet second, shoot I even watch "World Report" (yawn!) because it looks so darn good [IMG])

I think it is so lame that they are cropping old TV shows for HD masters. It's as bad as panning and scanning. OAR!!!

How much information would be missing by cropping these programs for HD? Would it be about the same as cropping a 1.85:1 movie to a 1.33 screen?
