Unless I missed something I think Hogan's Heroes is coming out Tuesday, March 1. I haven't seen any reviews or comments on it yet. Anybody get it yet? How is the quality? Complete, uncut? etc...

One of my favorite comedy TV shows.

Gordon is correct... the street date is 3/15. You'll start seeing reviews on or about March 4. Review copies haven't been sent out yet, to my knowledge.

This one's on my pre-order list. I've always wondered how one gets on a "review" list. Interesting.

Oh, yeah, I am already hounding my favorite vendors to try to get the best possible price for this set. This was a MUST have from the moment I started seeing TV shows coming out on DVD. The main ones on that list were Hogan's Heroes, Night Court and Home Improvement, all of which are now [almost, in Hogan's case] out on DVD.

    Happy are I!! [IMG]

Thanks for the correction. I've had it down as 3/1/05 in my little spreadsheet I use. I think maybe that was an early date that was quickly changed when the official announcement was made, but I didn't note. Anxiously awaiting reviews.

I just got an early copy of Hogan's Heroes The Complete Season First Season.

The box-set comes with 5 discs, in thin slipcases.

The transfer looks great. The backside of the box states that the show is "completely remastered in high definition."

Each discs have 6 or 7 shows, total of 32 episodes. Total showlength is 13 hrs, 42 min. Unfortunaly, no extras are listed. Hopefully, they will include some for the later seasons.

No subtitles, but it has closed captions.

Too bad about the subtitles, but honestly as long as it's the full, unedited shows, they could release the series in cardboard sleeves with a disclaimer talking about Bob Crane's photo collection and I'd still buy it. This is my favorite show of all time.

In case the rumors start flying...

The sets have been mislabeled - discs one and two labels are swapped. Paramount is recalling these, but I'm told they will still make the March 15 street date. Those looking for early shipping, though, may be out of luck.

There is nothing wrong with the transfers, it is only the labeling that is incorrect - and to reiterate: the corrected title should still be in stores on 3/15.

I hope to have a full review posted Friday or Saturday this week.

Was Schultz in charge of the labeling? [IMG]

Still been looking for reviews. Only one I've seen is this one and it isn't much.

Sorry, Glenn. The Star Trek review I recently posted took far longer to complete than I expected. I've only had a chance to view a couple of episodes of Hogan's Heroes. I'm going to shoot for a Wednesday posting of my review... give or take a day.

Thanks for the link to the review, Pavan. It's great to hear that the episodes are complete and have such good video quality.
