Which one is better to drive a set of power demanding speakers, a 75WPC HK525 or a 110WPC Denon? Obviously denon got a higher wattage but I dont know if the HK can go above the 75wpc.

Dodie: One thing to remember about the HKs is that they are VERY honest when it comes to wattage specs. Generally speaking, most other companies INFLATE their specs to a large degree when quoting their wattages.

This basically means that when you compare HKs with other brands, the HKs stack up MUCH better than the wattage specifications seem.

IN FACT, the HK MIGHT be slightly better at pushing sound than the Denon.

But as for a recommendation - I don't know. My GUESS would be that the HK would be SLIGHTLY better than the Denon, but you probably can't go wrong with either.
